CONSERVING THE COMMUNITY TRADITIONS AND
PRACTICES
Minority communities of Bhutia and Lepcha are fully protected.
The twelve seats reserved for these communities are fully secure
under the present government.
• Every community of Sikkim is guaranteed full security as far
as possible within the power of the state government.
• The government has safeguarded the political rights of the
Bhutia, Lepcha and Nepali communities enshrined in Article 371
(f) of the Indian Constitution. |
